The Wakefield Memorial Warriors basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Stoneham Spartans to 45 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winchester for a Middlesex contest on Tuesday, January 9. Wakefield Memorial will meet a Red & Black team coming off a 56-35 league win over Woburn Memorial (Woburn, MA). The Red & Black record now stands at 5-2.

The Spartans (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Arlington (Arlington, MA). The Spy Ponders enter the Middlesex contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Arlington ran past Belmont (Belmont, MA), 50-46, in a league contest.
