The St. Edmond Gaels basketball team (Fort Dodge, IA), was routed 70-37 in Friday's league battle with the host Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA)
The Bulldogs now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Garner-Hayfield/Ventura for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6. Algona will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-6.
The Gaels (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Eagles come into the North Central battle with a 0-12 record. In their last battle, Eagle Grove was routed by North Iowa (Buffalo Center, IA), 44-32, in a non-league battle.
