The Andrews Wildcats basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Murphy Bulldogs to 36 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Summit Charter for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Andrews will battle a Bears team coming off a 54-26 non-league loss to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 1-2.

The Bulldogs (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nantahala (Topton, NC). The Hawks come into the 1A Smoky Mountain contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Nantahala dropped by Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC), 50-32, in a league contest.
