Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 57-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Andrews upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to play the Yellowjackets in a 1A Big Smoky bout on Friday, February 9. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Hayesville won 45-38 in their recent league bout against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Murphy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 48-46 league loss to Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC).
