The Horatio Lions basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Foreman Gator Arkansas to 39 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mineral Springs for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Horatio will battle a Hornets team coming off a 65-31 league loss to Blevins (Blevins, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 1-8.
The Gator Arkansas (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Murfreesboro (Murfreesboro, AR). The Rattlers enter the 2A Region 7 contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Murfreesboro was defeated by Cossatot River (Cove, AR), 59-29, in a non-league contest.
