Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Prairie View Academy Spartans (Bastrop, LA) and the visiting Hillcrest Christian Cougars (Jackson, MS), saw Prairie View Academy's basketball squad knock off Hillcrest Christian by a tally of 48-33.

With the victory, Prairie View Academy improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host River Oaks (Monroe, LA) to play the Mustangs in a MAIS 3A District 4 challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 11-10.

Next up, the Cougars play the Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles (Vicksburg, MS) in a MAIS 3A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Hillcrest Christian will attempt to improve on its 3-15 season record.
