The Kimball Cubs basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Maple Lake Irish to 23 in the Cubs non-league victory on Friday.
The Cubs now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Kimball will battle a Lakers team coming off a 66-18 non-league loss to Central (Norwood-Young America, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 0-10.
The Irish (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Lester Prairie triumphed over Central (Norwood-Young America, MN), 52-46, in a non-league contest.
