The Mt. Enterprise Wildcats basketball team (Mt. Enterprise, TX), was nudged 40-38 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX)

The Mustangs now possess a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cushing for a 2A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Overton will confront a Bearkats team coming off a 47-6 league win over New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 11-6.

The Wildcats (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Douglass (Douglass, TX). The Indians come into the 2A Region III District 22 battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, Douglass edged Alto (Alto, TX), 86-11, in a league battle.
