With the win, Northwest Halifax upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Vikings host North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a 1A Tar Roanoke bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 6-3. North Edgecombe lost 61-60 in their recent non-league bout against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC)

Next up, the Jaguars clash with the KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Rocky Mount Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Pride go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 74-6 league loss to Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC).
