In Friday's non-league match, the visiting South Beloit Sobos basketball team scored a good 51-36 triumph over the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy Guardians.

In their next game, the Sobos meet the Westminster Christian Warriors (Elgin, IL) in a Northeastern match, on Monday, January 8. South Beloit will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 2-8 record after their 61-15 non-league loss to Willows Academy (Des Plaines, IL).

With the defeat, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy moves to 1-4 on the year. The Guardians travel to Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL) to meet the Green Giants in a Northeastern match on Friday, January 12. The Green Giants enter the match with a record of 13-5.
