New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), 55-19 in a league bout.

With the win, New Hanover upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Wildcats host North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to clash with the Scorpions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Scorpions go into the bout with a record of 7-2. North Brunswick won 60-13 in their recent non-league bout against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)

Next up, the Screaming Eagle clash with the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Ashley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
