In their next game, the Pioneers face the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, January 12. Watauga will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record.

With the defeat, North Wilkes moves to 3-4 on the year. The Vikings host West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to face the Blackhawks in a game on Tuesday, January 9. The Blackhawks enter the game with a record of 3-7. West Wilkes won 51-43 in their recent non-league game against Forbush (East Bend, NC)
