The North Wilkes Vikings basketball team (Hays, NC), was overwhelmed 61-31 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC)
The Pioneers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Avery County for a non-league battle on Friday, December 1. Watauga will confront a Vikings team coming off a 44-41 non-league loss to Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.
The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, East Wilkes trounced West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 66-26, in a non-league battle.
