The Highland Cardinals basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Shullsburg Miners to 45 in the Cardinals league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monticello for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 8. Highland will battle a Ponies team coming off a 73-24 league loss to Albany (Albany, WI). The Ponies record now stands at 5-5.
The Miners (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Black Hawk was routed by Prairie du Chien (Prairie du Chien, WI), 78-35, in a non-league contest.
