Minnesota High School Basketball - Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop can't hold off Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart

The Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds to 54 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary's for a A Section 2 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart will battle a Knights team coming off a 82-74 league win over Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN). The Knights record now stands at 7-2.
The Thunderbirds (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (Springfield, MN). The Tigers enter the A Section 2 contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Springfield nudged New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN), 64-53, in a league contest.
