The Minarets Mustangs basketball team (O'Neals, CA), was nudged 73-66 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Chowchilla Tribe (Chowchilla, CA)

The Tribe now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sierra for a Northwest Sequoia battle on Tuesday, January 10. Chowchilla will confront a Chieftains team coming off a 65-57 non-league win over Redwood (Visalia, CA). The Chieftains record now stands at 12-4.

The Mustangs (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Madera, CA). The Hawks come into the Northwest Sequoia battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Liberty was nudged by Fresno Christian (Fresno, CA), 78-45, in a league battle.
