Georgia High School Basketball - Sumter County routs Cook

January 6, 2023: Adel, GA 31620

In Friday's league outing, the Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), by a margin of 71-50.

The Panthers (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, Pike County was trounced by Rock Springs Christian Academy (Milner, GA), 64-61, in a non-league outing.

The Hornets now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Berrien for a AA Region 1 outing on Saturday, January 7. Cook will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 55-47 league loss to Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-8.
