Georgia High School Basketball - Sumter County crushes Cook

February 16, 2023: Adel, GA 31620

Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Cook Hornets (Adel, GA), 68-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sumter County upgrades its record to 18-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Dodge County (Eastman, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 20-3. Dodge County won 62-57 in their recent non-league battle against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA)

The Hornets (9-17) will now prepare for their battle against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Purple Hurricane come into the non-league battle with a 11-16 record. In their last battle, Fitzgerald was overwhelmed by Dodge County (Eastman, GA), 62-57, in a non-league battle.
