Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA), 68-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Etowah upgrades its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Sequoyah (Canton, GA) to play the Chiefs in a AAAAAA Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Chiefs come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Sequoyah won 58-51 in their recent league bout against Rome (Rome, GA)

Next up, the Knights play the Woodstock Wolverines (Woodstock, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. River Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 56-50 league win over Allatoona (Acworth, GA).
