Lingleville Cardinals (Lingleville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gordon Longhorns (Gordon, TX), 50-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Lingleville upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Huckabay (Stephenville, TX) to play the Indians in a 1A Region III District 19 bout on Friday, January 13. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Huckabay won 55-35 in their recent league bout against Gordon (Gordon, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Huckabay Indians (Stephenville, TX) in a 1A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Gordon will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 59-19 league win over Gorman (Gorman, TX).
