Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), 81-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greenfield upgrades its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Southern Durham (Durham, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 8-4. Southern Durham won 85-50 in their recent league bout against J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles (Rocky Mount, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Wayne Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 68-57 league loss to Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC).
