In Thursday's league outing, the Greenfield Knights (Wilson, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wayne Christian Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), by a margin of 70-23.

The Knights (26-9) will now prepare for their outing against Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC). The Chargers go into the NCISAA Coastal Plain outing with a 26-6 record. In their last outing, Wayne Country Day smashed Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC), 90-49, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now own a 10-14 record.
