Georgia High School Basketball - Metter trounced by Jenkins County

In Friday's non-league match, the host Jenkins County War Eagles basketball team scored a decisive 59-20 triumph over the Metter Tigers.

In their next game, the War Eagles meet the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a A D2 Region 3 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Jenkins County will attempt to move on its 12-1 season record. The Buccaneers enter the match with a 4-9 record after their 75-47 non-league win over Atkinson County (Pearson, GA).

With the defeat, Metter moves to 1-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Savannah (Savannah, GA) to meet the Bluejackets in a A D1 Region 3 match on Tuesday, January 10.
