Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL) and the visiting Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL), saw Lake Forest's basketball squad knock off Lake Zurich by a count of 58-49.

With the victory, Lake Forest upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Scouts travel to DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. DePaul College Prep won 45-29 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL)

Next up, the Bears play the Mundelein Mustangs (Mundelein, IL) in a North Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Lake Zurich will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 63-53 non-league win over Madison (Madison, IL).
