The Whitesboro Bearcats basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Valley View Eagles to 30 in the Bearcats league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ponder for a 3A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Whitesboro will battle a Lions team coming off a 57-29 league win over Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Lions record now stands at 9-3.

The Eagles (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX). The Rams enter the 3A Region II District 10 contest with a 2-15 record. In their last contest, S & S Consolidated was routed by Boyd (Boyd, TX), 73-39, in a league contest.
