In Saturday's league outing, the Whitesboro Bearcats (Whitesboro, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Valley View Eagles (Valley View, TX), by a margin of 65-24.

The Bearcats (12-12) will now prepare for their outing against Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region II District 10 outing with a 11-19 record. In their last outing, Callisburg was trounced by Ponder (Ponder, TX), 39-29, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 13-17 record. They play next when they travel to Pilot Point for a 3A Region II District 10 match on Monday, February 6. Valley View will meet a Bearcats team coming off a 58-12 league win over Paradise (Paradise, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 11-14.
