Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA), 40-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Murray County upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Indians host Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA) to play the Rebels in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Fannin County lost 58-53 in their recent non-league bout against Elbert County (Elberton, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Haralson County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 58-32 league win over Bowdon (Bowdon, GA).
