San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rancho Bernardo Broncos (San Diego, CA), 49-47 in a league bout.

With the win, San Marcos upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Knights host St. Augustine (San Diego, CA) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 3-2. St. Augustine lost 77-57 in their recent non-league bout against Whitney (Rocklin, CA)

Next up, the Broncos play the Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA) in a bout, on Saturday, January 13. Rancho Bernardo will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 60-47 league win over Poway (Poway, CA).
