The Jal Panthers (Jal, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM), 48-36 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (3-7) will now prepare for their test against Dexter (Dexter, NM). The Demons go into the non-league test with a 3-10 record. In their last test, Dexter went down by Tatum (Tatum, NM), 56-15, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Carrizozo for a non-league test on Monday, January 8. Cloudcroft will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 54-8 non-league win over Chesterton Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-7.
