In Saturday's non-league outing, the North Murray Mountaineers (Chatsworth, GA) basketball squad felled the host Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA), by a margin of 43-30.
The Mountaineers (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA). The Yellowjackets go into the AA Region 7 outing with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, Rockmart was beaten by Cass (White, GA), 61-33, in a non-league outing.
The Raiders now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Northwest Whitfield for a AAAA Region 7 outing on Tuesday, January 9. Southeast Whitfield County will clash with a Bruins squad coming off a 60-48 non-league loss to Murray County (Chatsworth, GA). The Bruins record now stands at 8-4.
