In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Branford Hornets basketball team scored a close 70-67 win over the Cheshire Rams.
The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hamden (Hamden, CT). The Green Dragons come into the Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Hamden was tipped by Hand (Madison, CT), 71-51, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Rams battle the Law Lawmen (Milford, CT) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Cheshire will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.
