The Thunderbirds (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Rector (Rector, AR). The Cougars come into the 2A Region 3 challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Rector was tipped by Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR), 57-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mohawks encounter the Bay Yellowjackets (Bay, AR) in a 2A Region 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Piggott will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 84-40 non-league loss to Rivercrest (Wilson, AR).
