The Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN) basketball crushed the visiting Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN), 37-13 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Washburn (Washburn, TN). The Pirates go into the 1A District 2 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Washburn was trounced by Gibbs (Corryton, TN), 55-42, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host South Greene for a 2A District 1 test on Tuesday, January 10. Happy Valley will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to Hampton (Hampton, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 2-7.
