In Saturday's league match, the host Elizabeth Minutemen basketball team scored a good 62-47 triumph over the Plainfield Cardinals.
In their next game, the Minutemen meet the Union Catholic Vikings (Scotch Plains, NJ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 17. Elizabeth will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record.
With the defeat, Plainfield moves to 2-7 on the year. The Cardinals host Linden (Linden, NJ) to meet the Tigers in a Union County match on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 8-2. Linden won 77-30 in their recent non-league match against Atlantic City (Atlantic City, NJ)
