New Jersey High School Basketball - Plainfield overwhelmed by Elizabeth

The Elizabeth Minutemen basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Plainfield Cardinals to 36 in the Minutemen league victory on Wednesday.
The Minutemen now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Joseph for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Elizabeth will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 71-44 league loss to St. Augustine Prep (Richland, NJ). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-9.
The Cardinals (2-17) will now prepare for their contest against Dayton (Springfield, NJ). The Bulldogs come into the Mountain Valley - Valley contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Dayton was routed by Bound Brook (Bound Brook, NJ), 76-49, in a non-league contest.
