Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Iroquois Chiefs (Elma, NY), 33-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Starpoint upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Spartans host Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY) to play the Billies in a Section 6 Erie County II bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Billies go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Williamsville South won 63-42 in their recent league bout against West Seneca East (West Seneca, NY)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY) in a Section 6 Erie County II bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Iroquois will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Flames go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 75-50 league loss to Amherst Central (Amherst, NY).
