New Mexico High School Basketball - Maxwell fells Raton

Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Raton Tigers (Raton, NM), 61-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maxwell upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Cliff (Cliff, NM) to play the Cowboys/Cowgirls in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Cowboys/Cowgirls go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Cliff lost 42-41 in their recent league bout against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM)

Next up, the Tigers play the Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Raton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.
