California High School Basketball - Pershing County overwhelmed by North Tahoe

January 7, 2023: Tahoe City, CA 96161

The North Tahoe Lakers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Pershing County Mustangs to 19 in the Lakers league victory on Saturday.

The Lakers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Incline for a 2A Northern contest on Wednesday, January 11. North Tahoe will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 71-46 league win over Pershing County (Lovelock, NV). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-4.

With the defeat, Pershing County moves to 5-8 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV) to meet the Falcons in a 2A Northern match on Tuesday, January 10. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 1-3. Coral Academy of Science - Reno lost 77-23 in their recent non-league match against Sage Ridge (Reno, NV)
