Westside Warriors (Jonesboro, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wynne Yellowjackets (Wynne, AR), 69-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Westside upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Warriors host Southside (Batesville, AR) to play the Southerners in a 4A Region 3 bout on Monday, January 9. The Southerners go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Southside won 38-37 in their recent league bout against Rogers Heritage (Rogers, AR)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Blytheville Chickasaws (Blytheville, AR) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Monday, January 9. Wynne will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Chickasaws go into the bout with a 18-0 record after their 86-64 league win over Trumann (Trumann, AR).
