The Stone Mountain Pirates basketball team (Stone Mountain, GA), was overwhelmed 79-21 in Saturday's league battle with the host Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA)
The Panthers now possess a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stephenson for a AAAA Region 6 battle on Tuesday, January 10. Southwest DeKalb will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 66-32 league loss to Westminster (Atlanta, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-7.
The Pirates (2-10) will now prepare for their battle against Hapeville Charter (Atlanta, GA). The Hornets come into the AAAA Region 6 battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Hapeville Charter trounced Druid Hills (Atlanta, GA), 51-45, in a league battle.
