The Dobie Longhorns basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Alvin Yellowjackets to 32 in the Longhorns league triumph on Tuesday.

The Longhorns now possess a 6-19 record. They play next when they travel to Manvel for a 6A Region III District 22 game on Friday, January 10. Dobie will play a Mavericks team coming off a 50-45 league loss to Dawson (Pearland, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Alvin falls to 12-13 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX) to play the Mavericks in a 6A Region III District 22 game on Friday, January 10. The Mavericks go into the game with a record of 13-11. Pasadena Memorial won 82-55 in their recent league game against Sam Rayburn (Pasadena, TX)
