The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Dickinson (Felch, MI). The Nordics come into the Central Upper Peninsula challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, North Dickinson prevailed over North Central (Powers, MI), 56-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Black Bears encounter the Rapid River Rockets (Rapid River, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Big Bay de Noc will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 54-40 non-league loss to Manistique (Manistique, MI).
