Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Girard overwhelms Northwestern

The Girard Yellowjackets basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Northwestern Wildcats to 34 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host North East for a District 10 Region 6 game on Friday, January 10. Girard will confront a Grape Pickers team coming off a 64-44 non-league win over General McLane (Edinboro, PA). The Grape Pickers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Northwestern falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Fairview (Fairview, PA) to confront the Tigers in a District 10 Region 6 game on Friday, January 10. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 7-4. Fairview won 45-39 in their recent non-league game against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA)
