The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights come into the Lakes Valley challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Walled Lake Northern prevailed over South Lyon (South Lyon, MI), 42-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) in a Lakes Valley challenge, on Friday, January 10. South Lyon East will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Corsairs come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 65-55 non-league win over Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI).
