The Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) basketball edged the host Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS), 58-53 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Rockets now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Callaway for a 6A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 10. Neshoba Central will play a Chargers team coming off a 65-36 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 7-11.
With the loss, Vicksburg falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS) to play the Titans in a 6A Region 2 bout on Thursday, January 9. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 17-3. Ridgeland won 70-62 in their recent league bout against Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS)
