The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA) and the visiting Tidewater Academy Warriors (Wakefield, VA), observed Southampton Academy's basketball team overwhelm Tidewater Academy by a score of 61-31.

The Raiders (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA). The Knights come into the VISAA Division IV challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot trounced Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA), 62-59, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Rock Church Lions (Franklin, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 10. Tidewater Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 69-30 league win over Bethel Assembly Christian Academy (Windsor, NC).
