North Carolina High School Basketball - A.L. Brown trounced by Cox Mill

January 7, 2025: Concord, NC 28027

The A.L. Brown Wonders basketball squad (Kannapolis, NC), was crushed 61-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC)

With the victory, Cox Mill advances its record to 5-9 on the year. The Chargers host Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC) to meet the Wildcats in a 4A Greater Metro battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 11-1. Lake Norman won 71-43 in their recent league battle against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)

The Wonders now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Cabarrus for a 4A Greater Metro battle on Thursday, January 9. A.L. Brown will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 74-24 league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-5.
