Georgia High School Basketball - Athens Academy triumphant over Commerce

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) and the host Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), observed Athens Academy's basketball team overwhelm Commerce by a margin of 63-26.
The Spartans (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards come into the A D1 Region 8 challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Banks County trounced Rabun County (Tiger, GA), 59-43, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Commerce will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 3-11 record after their 52-37 league loss to Elbert County (Elberton, GA).
