In Tuesday's league test, the Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX), by a score of 46-26.

Next, the Coyotes encounter the Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 test, on Friday, January 10. Borden County will attempt to improve on its 14-6 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 9-12 record after their 69-23 league win over Loop (Loop, TX).

The Mustangs (12-11) will now prepare for their test against Grady (Lenorah, TX). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region I District 6 test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Grady beat Loop (Loop, TX), 48-20, in a league test.
