The Lubbock Westerners basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Caprock Longhorns to 19 in the Westerners league triumph on Tuesday.

The Westerners now possess a 12-13 record. They play next when they travel to Tascosa for a 5A Region I District 3 game on Tuesday, January 14.

With the loss, Caprock drops to 4-17 on the year. The Longhorns host Tascosa (Amarillo, TX) to clash with the Rebels in a 5A Region I District 3 outing on Friday, January 10. The Rebels enter the outing with a record of 24-3. Tascosa won 62-51 in their recent league outing against Plainview (Plainview, TX)
